{"id":102,"date":"2020-07-06T11:04:54","date_gmt":"2020-07-06T11:04:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ubenjamin.com\/?p=102"},"modified":"2020-07-06T11:04:54","modified_gmt":"2020-07-06T11:04:54","slug":"the-first-fruits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ubenjamin.com\/index.php\/2020\/07\/06\/the-first-fruits\/","title":{"rendered":"The First Fruits"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>The First Fruits<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-size: 10pt; text-align: right;\"><em>1 Cor.15:20<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 10pt; text-align: left;\"><em>April 17, 2008<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Christ has been raised from the dead, the\u00a0<strong>first-fruits\u00a0<\/strong>of those who have fallen asleep.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Christ&#8217;s resurrection as the first-fruits is a\u00a0<strong>pledge or a guarantee of the \u2018rest of the resurrection harvest&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong>of all the believers.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">In ancient Israel, the offering of the first-fruits was celebrated on the day after the Passover Sabbath. A sheaf of Barley from the Barley harvest was presented before the Lord as a <strong>&#8220;wave offering&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong>(Lev 23:10, 11).\u00a0<strong>The larger harvest would follow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The day of the first-fruits is the same as the day of our Lord&#8217;s resurrection. This is the day when Jesus offered Himself as the \u2018Wave Offering&#8217; to the Father. His resurrection is the guarantee and the Promise of the harvest to come!<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">In fact, <strong>God expected all first-born, all first-fruits to be brought into His presence with praise and thanksgiving. Do we?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Let us bring to God with thanksgiving our first and the best; out time, our devotion, our health and our wealth.
