When they met again it was in secret behind closed doors. They were so afraid of the Jews and the religious leaders. But after the resurrection of Jesus and after the day of Pentecost, we read a different story. Peter stood up and preached boldly. Miracles took place and three thousand were saved.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Something else also took place noticeably. They were all together having everything in common. There was unity! <strong>Unity in prayer, unity in purpose and unity in praise.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">They sold their possession and gave to others in need. There was sharing and caring! This was the love that Jesus was talking to them about to Love one another!<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Earlier the disciples were disputing among themselves arguing as to who was the greatest among them. But it is different now!<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Jesus prayed, in John 17:22,\u00a0<em>\u201cI have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Imagine! Jesus has given us\u00a0<strong>His Glory\u00a0<\/strong>that we may have unity!<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">This was the first church<strong>. I consider the first church as a great big family.\u00a0<\/strong>In a family, there is unity and love. <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>We are all brothers and sisters! We have one God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. We are united in the Spirit.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">We read that because of the unity in the early church the Lord added daily to the Church.
