Power of Witnessing

Acts 4.33

“With great power, the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all”

When the disciples testified and preached Jesus and His resurrection miracles took place such as the healing of the lame man in Acts 3. 1-8. Healed in the name of Jesus; he leapt up and stood and walked into the Temple -walking, leaping, and praising God!

God performed great signs and wonders. The sick were healed and those who were tormented by unclean spirits were delivered. Thousands were added to the church.

The Priests and the Sadducees were indignant that the disciples preached Jesus and His resurrection! So they put them in prison. But an angel of the Lord opened the prison in the night. The next day the disciples preached in the Temple again!

Those religious leaders caught the disciples and with great anger warned them not to preach Jesus again. Well! The disciples have leant that God answers prayer! They prayed to God for boldness to preach and for signs and wonders to take place!

When they prayed, the place was shaken! The foundations of hell will shake when we testify, preach and pray in the power of the resurrection of Jesus!

We read in Revelation 12.11; “they overcame the devil by the Blood of the Lamb and by the Word of their testimony’. The testimony is of the resurrection of the Lord.

He is alive and He lives in us! If this is our testimony we will be walking in the power of His resurrection!

The devil will try to keep us shut. But we will not give up! Victory is ours in the name of Jesus Christ our resurrected Saviour!
