The Holy Spirit

The most important of the promises was the Promise of the Holy Spirit; expressly called the “Promise of the Father”. Jesus had to go and send this Promise. He said,  “if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.” John 16.7

After His resurrection, Jesus went to the Father and sent the Holy Spirit! The disciples received the glorious anointing !! Acts.2.1-4

In the Bible, the glory of the Lord came down when choice sacrifices were made.

When Elijah offered the sacrifice, fire came down. 1 Kings.18.31–39.

Moses and Aaron offered the sacrifice; Fire came down and consumed the offering. The glory of the Lord appeared and the people fell on their faces. Lev.9.23,24.

When Solomon offered the sacrifice, the Shekinah glory of the Lord filled the Temple and the priests could not minister.2 Chr.7.1

Jesus the Lamb of God offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice. When He presented His Blood as the most precious sacrifice; the Holy Spirit came down.

The People in the upper room were filled with the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost! Even today the Holy Spirit anoints His people powerfully!!!

Jesus said “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you”

The Holy Spirit gives us power to witness; power to love and to serve; power in our prayer life; power in our life of worship and power in our ministry.
