Jesus said, “Because I live, you will live also”.

He didn’t say, “I shall live” His life is inextinguishable. He lives.

The above verse is about the union of our life with Christ. It is like the vine and the branches. Jesus said that He is the vine and we are the branches. Life flows from Him into us. This Life flow is permanent in the life of a believer who abides in Him. It’s not an on-off process.

The Life that Jesus gives is eternal! The term Eternal Life is denoted by the word ‘ ZOE’ meaning not just physical but spiritual life one possesses through faith in Jesus Christ! It is a quality Life! In the present, it is a Life of grace and in the future, it is a Life of glory!

In the midst of perils and difficulties, His Life in us will strengthen us and sustain us.

Because He lives, we have His presence in us

Jesus promised saying “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”

Because He lives, we have His peace in us.

When Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, He blessed them with the words, “Peace be unto you”

Because He lives, we have His power in us
We have the exceeding greatness of His power because He lives in us who believe.
