Romans 4:17

“God (who) gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were”

When God met Abraham in Ur and promised him a son, he was already 75 years old. Sarah was barren. But God waited for another 25 years until Sarah’s womb was dead and Abraham’s body became as good as dead.

Nothing happened for 25 years! Have you been in a similar situation? Some times we do not tell others what God has promised in the depth of our hearts; for fear that it may not happen! But Abraham was of a different!

He staggered not at the promise of God. God changed his name from Abram to Abraham and his wife’s name from Sarai to Sarah! Every time Abraham spoke or heard his name, he was reminded of God’s promise and gave thanks to God. Thanking God releases faith and the creative power of God’s Word in us!

God visited Abraham and Sarah again to assure them that by next year they would have the promised son. I think God’s words started rejuvenating their bodies. Sarah must have turned into her youth as the most beautiful young lady! Otherwise, why would king Abimelech cast his eye upon an old woman!

When Isaac became a young lad God spoke to Abraham to offer him as a sacrifice! I thank God for Abraham’s obedience and for his faith. He believed that God had to raise Isaac from the dead. Why? Because God had already told Abraham that He would bless the nations through Isaac! That means God had to resurrect Isaac to fulfil what He said!!! (Heb.11:17-19). Abraham had no doubt that if he offered Isaac, God would raise him from death because he experienced God rejuvenating his ‘dead body’ and the dead womb of Sarah!

The promise of God does not stop with Isaac. If God has to bless the Nations (gentiles) it has to be through His Son Jesus Christ! Jesus offered Himself for our sins! Just as Isaac bore the wood to his own altar Jesus bore His Cross to Calvary and there He offered himself and died. The Father brought back His Son to Life!

If God has spoken to you in prayer or through His word or in a dream or a vision: be assured that God will fulfil what He has shown you. Never waver in Faith. He who has promised is faithful. He is able. He will bring it to pass.

God will not allow your dream to die. Even if it dies He will resurrect it. No power or principalities can ever be able to stop what God has shown you and wants to do in your life.

God told Abraham “I am God Almighty; walk before Me and be blameless. I will confirm my covenant between Me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.”

Let us walk before Him and be blameless. He will bless us!!!
